How To Video
Event Summaries provide users with an easy way to view events at a daily or a weekly glance. Event Summaries can be synced with the calendar and the cafeteria menu.
Settings
Users can specify the dates for when the the daily and weekly summaries should be displayed on the app. Leaving the date range as empty will ensure all dates will pull into the app.
Daily Summary
Users can specify what day(s) and what time the daily summaries are released. We recommended having the daily sent out 30 minutes prior the earliest bus route to ensure families see the most up to date list of events going on within your district.
Weekly Summaries
Users can specify what day(s) and what time the weekly summaries are released as a push notification through the app. We recommended having the weekly summaries sent Sunday evening as this is when most families review school news for the upcoming week.
Creating Event Summaries
1. Select Event Summaries under Apps and Messaging
2. Select the Mobile Site you wish to set up the Event Summary for. Users with single site apps will not be able to select the site as they will only one site.
3. Users can specify the Calendars to include within the Daily and Weekly summary. This is handy if your app is a multi-site app.
4. Select the day(s) and time you would like the daily and weekly summary released to parents. Note, these summaries are sent as a push notification through the app at the days and time selected.
