This how to articles walks users through the process of sending push notifications to the app through the Alerts and News module. We will also be walking you through the process of resending push notifications that need to be send out to parents multiple times. This is useful in circumstances where you need to highlight important events or tasks your parents need to be aware of.

Sending Push Notification with the Alerts and News Module
1. Click "Alerts & News"
2. Click "Add News"
3. Select the category this alert should apply for
4. Add a title for the News/Alert you are creating
5. Toggle 'Send push notification' on
6. Add details to the Alert
7. Click "Add"
8. Once saved the alert will be sent out as a push notification
Tip: Tip! CMS admins can resend push notifications that have already been sent out. This is useful if you want to resend important details to your parents.
9. Click "Alerts & News"
10. Click "Actions"
11. Toggle 'Resend push notifications' on
12. Click "Save"
