The Template Library can be used to copy all or part of an existing page or to provide a template that can be copied to either the main website area or to faculty pages. Creating a template for faculty pages is an excellent way to have well-planned faculty pages ready for public viewing.
You are able to set tools in your Template Library as Master Content. By setting a tool as Master Content, you are able to copy the tool to multiple pages and update all the pages via the template library master content tool.
Create a Template
There are two different options to create a new template page.
- Add a new page in the Content Template Library. In the template library, follow the same instructions seen in the Page Settings article to create a new page.
Note that the Robots Meta Directive in the SEO Settings should be set to "noindex, nofollow" so the template pages don't appear in search results for your site. - Use an existing page with the content you would like in your template. Within the desired page, select the "To Template" functionality and select to create a new page.
Note that at least one template must be added to the Template Library for the "Copy From Template" functionality to be available.
