The Homework Module in the main website is used to manage the type of homework that staff can add to their My Homework Admin. Homework Types are used to categorize homework as well as allowing staff to see when students will have major homework to help manage student workload.
Note: In order to display homework on your website, a Homework Listing tool will need to be added to a page. Please see the Homework Listing tool article for more information about adding a Homework Listing tool to a page.
Actions
Add Homework Type: Manage the available homework types. See the Add Homework Types section below for more information.
Homework Types
- Homework Type: Displays the homework type name. Also indicates which homework type is the default and which homework type is major.
- Assignments: Displays the number of assignments for the homework type.
- Actions: Select to update or delete the homework type.
Note only homework types that don't have any assignments can be deleted.
Add Homework Types
- Homework Type: Enter the name for the homework type.
- Default Homework Type: Select to indicate that this should be the homework type that is selected by default when staff are adding new homework. Note that there can be only one default homework type.
- Is a Major: Indicate if this type of homework is major.
Note: Check this box for assignment types that you would like to see spread out for a grade level so students will not have too many "major" assignments at one time. Staff will be able to check what major assignments have already assigned for students when creating a new assignment.
