To help with web accessibility compliance throughout your website, you should enable the visitor toolbar (and include font resize) and force alt text for images.
Visitor Toolbar
Select "Yes, display the visitor toolbar for accessibility." to turn on the accessibility toolbar for your site as well as to see the options for the toolbar.
Display Options
Select where you would like the toolbar to display and which direction you would like to toolbar to open.
- Horizontal Drag and Drop
- Visitors can drag and drop to their desired location on the screen.
- The toolbar will open horizontally when selected.
- Vertical Drag and Drop
- Visitors can drag and drop to their desired location on the screen.
- The toolbar will open vertically when selected.
- Horizontal Top Right
- The toolbar will display at the top right of the screen.
- The toolbar will open horizontally when selected.
- Horizontal Bottom Right
- The toolbar will display at the bottom right of the screen.
- The toolbar will open horizontally when selected.
- Vertical Top Right
- The toolbar will display at the top right of the screen.
- The toolbar will open vertically when selected.
- Vertical Bottom Right
- The toolbar will display at the bottom right of the screen.
- The toolbar will open vertically when selected.
Note that drag and drop options are best for accessibility.
Font Size
When selecting to include font resize, visitors will be able to adjust the font size within the accessibility toolbar.
Force Alt Text
When selecting force website editors to enter Alt Text for uploaded images, the alt text field used in the various content tools becomes required.
This helps ensure website accessibility compliance as any image added using the content tools must have alternative text entered.
Note that Alt Text should describe the image as its purpose is to describe images to visitors who are unable to see them. This text may also appear when a visitor hovers over the image or if the image fails to load.
