You can set up Daily and Weekly Event Alerts so send as push notifications and/or show in your newsfeed for selected calendars.
News > Settings > Feeds > Event Alerts tab.
Daily Alert Settings
- Create News Item: Select to have the Daily Event Alert be created and added to the newsfeed.
- Send Push Notification: Select to have the Daily Event Alert create a push notification.
- Send daily Event Alerts on preceeding day: Select to create an event alert for what's happening tomorrow rather than what's happening today.
- Send time: The time that the news item and/or push notification should be created & sent.
- Send on: Select which days the Daily Event Alert should be created and sent.
- Daily Alert Title Type:
- Default: Here's what's happening today/tomorrow...
- Day of Week: Here's what's happening on Thursday...
- Exact Date: Here's what's happening on 10/15/2020...
- Custom: Add your custom alert title.
- Hide Site name: Select to hide the site (ex. school name) from the alert.
- Hide Calendar name: Select to hide the calendar name (ex. calendar category) from the alert.
- Suspend Daily Alert: Select to suspend the alert from being created and sent until a certain date.
Weekly Alert Settings
- Create News Item: Select to have the Weekly Event Alert be created and added to the newsfeed.
- Send Push Notification: Select to have the Weekly Event Alert create a push notification.
- Send time: The time that the news item and/or push notification should be created & sent.
- Send on: Select which day the Weekly Event Alert should be created and sent.
- Weekly Alert Title Type:
- Default: Here's what's happening this week...
- Week of Year: Here's what's happening on Week 42...
- Custom: Add your custom alert title
- Hide Site name: Select to hide the site (ex. school name) from the alert.
- Hide Calendar name: Select to hide the calendar name (ex. calendar category) from the alert.
- Suspend Weekly Alert: Select to suspend the alert from being created and sent until a certain date.
Calendars
- Use every calendar: Select to have the event alerts include all calendars in the Feature > Events. Unselect, to choose which calendars you would like to appear in the event alerts.
- Enabled Daily Calendars: Shows the selected calendars for the daily alert. Select the eye icon to use the checkboxes to select/unselect additional calendars.
- Enabled Weekly Calendars: Shows the selected calendars for the weekly alert. Select the eye icon to use the checkboxes to select/unselect additional calendars.
