At CMS4Schools, we use Basecamp for projects. Each project contains everything related to the work at hand; all the people involved, every discussion, every document, file, task, important date, etc.
In order to receive email notifications from Basecamp that will communicate to you when activity has taken place or when we attempt to reach out to you, please be sure to whitelist @3.basecamp.com within your email client.
Lists of work that needs to be get done with notes, discussions, assignments, and due dates.
Docs & Files
Share docs, files, images, and spreadsheets. Organize them in folders so that they are easy to find.
Schedule
Set important dates on a shared schedule. Any To-Dos with due dates will appear in the schedule.
Message Board
Post announcements, pitch ideas, progress updates, etc., and keep feedback on-topic.
When you want to post an idea that doesn't necessarily belong in a Chat — but you do want others to see it, and for it to have a more permanent place to live — message board! It's a happy medium for those middle-of-the-road conversations.
Chat
This is the best place to hash things out quickly, throw links and images back and forth, think out loud, share news, riff, and chat in real-time with your team.
To grab someone’s attention in Campfire, you can @mention them by typing the @ symbol followed by their name. They’ll receive a notification for the mention.
Check-ins
Automatic check-ins go out to your team on a regular basis. Our team will be notified when you respond to a check-in.
